How do you qualify for the FC Pro Global Qualifiers

The FC Pro Open is one of the top EA SPORTS™ EA FC 25 tournaments with an overall prize pool of over 1 million USD. It pulls in the best players from all over the world. To join, players must go through a tough qualification process. First, they aim to earn a spot in the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier. For one week, players from all over the world tried to qualify for the regional qualifiers through the Open Ladder. The regional qualifiers were played in 10 regions: Africa, Asia North, Asia South, Europe West, Europe East, Latin America North, Latin America South, Middle East, North America and Oceania. In the end, 52 players go through to the global qualifiers, where they are joined by 12 already qualified players. These players earned their spot by finishing 5th to 16th at last years FC Pro Open.

The FC Pro Global Qualifier in november is where players show off their skills. They compete for a chance to play at an international level. By proving their talent and hard work in the qualifier, they hope to reach the FC Pro Open. Their goal is to win important titles and gain recognition in the FIFA competition scene.

FC Pro Global Qualifiers: A Closer Look at the Competitor’s

The FC Pro Regional Qualifiers showed amazing talent and smart play from many skilled EA FC 25 players from different areas. The event brought together experienced players and new stars. They all wanted a chance to earn a spot in the famous FC Pro Open. The tournament proved how dedicated and passionate they are about the game. It gave them a chance to show off their great skills.

Over 1300 players fought for 52 spots at the FC Pro Global Qualifier

The FC Pro Global Qualifier is an important step to the FIFA World Championship. There were only 52 spots to fill, which added a lot of pressure. Over 1300 players from around the world battled against each other. Each match showed the hard work and long hours they spent mastering the game. It was their chance to shine on the international stage. Let’s take a look at the successful players.

6 players from Middle East will be participating in the Global Event:

  • Mohannad Almsmary (Twis Muae14) from UAE. He also competed in the global qualifier last year but was only able to reach the quarterfinals.
  • Youssef Sherif (Toxic_Joe) from Egypt, who played in the Africa regionals last year and switched to the Middle East this year. Apparently, that change was very beneficial for him. 
  • Ahmad AlSuwaidi (A7madals-) from UAE, who plays for NASR Esports.
  • 21 year old AboFawzi from Saudi Arabia from team Twisted Minds. He managed to get one step further this year after being eliminated by AboMakkah last year by only a 1 goal difference.
  • Not much is known about Toobi_10, but we look forward to seeing more of him at the FC Pro global qualifier.
  • Bedov is a member of Team Falcons. His biggest achievement was third place at the eSPL 2024 

The 2 qualifiers for Africa are:

  • 21 year old Kaylan (EXD Kaylan) from South Africa, who had a very quiet EA FC 24 but now is back better than ever.
  • MDJS Esports pro Adam Haberraih from Morocco who will be participating for the first time.

The 12 participants from Europe East this year are:

  • 24 year old Italian pro Lucio (HezerS7), who plays for AC Monza. He finished Top 8 in last year’s FC Pro 24 World Championship in Berlin and is the defending champion of the eSerie A.
  • Jamie Bartel (Chaaserr_) is a 19-year-old German Pro playing for SC Paderborn. He was able to win the Virtual Bundesliga club championship with Paderborn in EA FC 24 and now wants to win in the individual competitions as well.  
  • Brandon Wüschem (Perkkix) plays for German club Hamburger SV eSports and is rather new to the scene. Last year, his journey ended in the regional qualifiers.
  • Berkay Demirci (BerkayLion) is a 20-year-old pro for Werder Bremen eSports. He has not made it to the global stage yet, but showed promising performances in the domestic scene.
  • Andrea Montanini (Montaxer) is a 23-year old Italian player, who was the only unbeaten pro in the Europe East qualifier. He is still a free agent, but probably not for long after this stunning performance. He was already able to set his mark last year, when he won the eLigue with FC Lorient.
  • Steffen Pöppe (Funino) is a 27-year-old player from Germany and also plays for Hamburger SV eSports. Reaching the FC Pro global qualifiers is probably his biggest achievement yet, but he also appeared in a lot of domestic cups already.
  • Jonas Wirth (Jonny) shot onto the scene last year and is by now a well-known EA FC player. In EA FC he managed to win the Virtual Bundesliga and the eChampions League. And looks like he is in good form again. 
  • Tim Bartz (T_B_2002) is a German newcomer who was discovered in a youth tournament from German football club Mainz 05.
  • Mert Altintop (iMertAL) is a 27-year-old turkish player for Besiktas Istanbul. He is the current eSüperlig winner and has been competing since 2019. Last year he was able to reach Top 8 in the UEFA eEuro. 
  • Kaan Tüzün (KTzn_91) is also from Turkey. The 21-year-old pro plays for Galatasaray Istanbul. He is the eSüperlig winner of 2023.
  • Another well-known EA FC player is Levy Finn Rieck (levyfinn) playing for RBLZ Gaming. He only lost to Jonny in the final of last year’s Virtual Bundesliga and was also in the Top 16 of the FC Pro 24 World Championship. 
  • Timo Siep (iTimoX) is one of the most experienced players of the 52 qualified players. He made his first appearance in the World Cup 2015 and has been competing since then. It got a little bit quieter around him in the last years on a global competition level but this year he seems to be getting back on track.

The 12 participants from Europe West are:

  • Ilian Bouchi (vitality_bouchi) is a young french pro playing for Vitality and LOSC Lille eSports. In the past, he was able to win small cups such as the Playorium Open Series or the Deliveroo Cup. 
  • David Estébanez (cone1996fc) from Spain is 28 years old and plays for Girona FC. He was successfully participating in many domestic competitions in the past and will try to make his name known in the global scene this year.
  • Marwan Chahhou (MarwanMC9), 22 years old, currently is a free agent. He played in the eChampions League in 2023.
  • Luca Gomes (Luca-nr1) is from Portugal and plays for SC Brage. The 22 year old won the FPF Taça Masters in 2023 and 2024 and also achieved good placements in domestic competitions.
  • Dan Ray (AidyJackpotLewis) is a 21-year-old player from the UK. He had his most successful years in 2022 and 2023, where he participated in the FIFA eWorld Cup and had Top 16 and Top 8 placements.
  • Brice Masson (salaried_toast03) is another French player who made it into the Global Qualifier. The 20-year-old player from Team Vitality won last year’s eCoupe de France.
  • Leandro Peixoto (LJR_Peixoto) is 21 years old and plays for Olympique Marseille and Team BDS. His biggest achievement is probably the semi-final of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 with France.  
  • Ander Tobal (Neat110) from Spain is 20 years old and plays for DUX Gaming. He was a semi-finalist of last year’s La Liga FC Pro championship and was already competing in the FIFAe World Cup in 2021.
  • Tom Leese (HashtagHouseTom) is not only a pro player but also a well-known streamer. He is 25 years old and has been competing since 2017. Since then he won the ePremier League in 2020, the FIFA eNations Cup in 2021, was second at the ePremier League in 2023 and got many more achievements.
  • Jacob Benskin (NDB-shishkin) is 20 years old and from the UK. The player from 1J Esports had his best year in 2023 when he was 2nd at the FIFA eClub World Cup and finished Top 4 in the EA Sports Cup. He had a quieter 2024 season but is ready to go again in EA FC 25.
  • Giovanni Bakhuijsen (Giobundyy) is a 26-year-old pro from the Netherlands. He plays for Azizt Esports and Excelsior Rotterdam. It is the first big tournament for the Dutch pro player.
  • Collin Dekkers (CollinX52) is also from the Netherlands. He plays for Heracles Almelo but has not played in global competitions yet, although he regularly plays in the Dutch eDivisie. 

The 8 participants from LATAM South are:

  • Valentin Mazzalupo (LILLEIBENDER) is 22 years old from Argentina and is currently still a free agent. His achievements include a Top 8 FIFA 22 Global Series – Team of the Season Cup placement.
  • The next qualifier probably needs no introduction. Nicolas Villalba ( nicolas99fc) from Argentina is probably one of the best EA FC players in the world. The 24-year-old made his first appearance in 2016 and since then consistently competed on the highest level. He was a semifinalist in the FIFA eWorld Cup 2019, won the eChampions League 2022, was 2nd at the FIFAe World Cup 2022, won the LaLiga FC Pro 2024, and was in the Top 8 of the Esports World Cup 2024. And that was only the Top of the list. He plays for Sevilla FC and Cloud 9.
  • Giuliano Olivieri (Giuliano2001) is another pro from Argentina, who was able to qualify. The 22-year-old semi finalist of the eLibertadores 2024 plays for TR3X Esports.
  • Guilherme Barros (mike_james02) plays for RB Leipzig. The Brazilian already played in the FC Pro 24 World Championship and managed to get in the Top 16. He was also the runner-up of the eLibertadores 2024.
  • Joel Soto (jooelr_21) is the next Argentinian pro in this list. The 20-year-old is still a free agent and has not many achievements yet. He will be eager to show his talents. 
  • Paulo Neto (ATL_Pauloneto99) from Atlanta United is from Brazil. The 21-year-old had his biggest achievements in 2023, when he won the FIFA eNations Cup. He has also won the eMLS multiple times. 
  • Gustavo de Oliveira Schiavinato (Gueric) is a very young player from Brazil competing for Alpha7. Even though he is only 19 years old, he was already in the Top 8 of the eLibertadores 2024. 
  • Eduardo Oller (TZ_Dudu27) is a player from Tuzzy eSports. The 21-year-old was in the Top 4 in the eLibertadores 2024.   

The 3 participants from LATAM North are:

  • Gersson Rojas (Gercrack30) is a 19-year-old pro from Columbia. He was in the Top 8 of the eLibertadores 2024.
  • Max Cesar Juarez Sanchez (DivineCS7) is a 26-year-old Mexican player for KrowMx eSports. His biggest achievement was winning the Super eLiga MX 2023.
  • Joksan Redona (elmastumbado10) is the second participant from Mexico. The 26-year-old managed to qualify for multiple global events and has nearly 200k USD of career earnings.

The 3 participants from North America are:

  • Agit Katilmis (Agitpower) is a 23 year old Free Agent. He broke onto the scene in 2019 and has participated in all important tournaments in North America since.  
  • John Mouneer (Papery_parody162/K1John) plays for Inter Miami. The player from Egypt had a successful year in 2024 ending in a Top 8 placement in the FC Pro 24 World Championship. 
  • Christopher Holly (DidyChrisLito_) is 28 years old and plays for Toronto FC. He has competed since 2017 and has impressive earnings of over 300k USD to his name. His biggest achievement is probably the win of the eChampions League 2019.

Mark11, who was also a participant at the FC Pro finals last year, made it through the Oceania qualifiers without a loss. Joining him is Dylan Campbell (tacticalfrog17), who was seeded at position 14 before going into the playoffs phase on the last day. 

In the Asia South region, Ega Rahmaditya (lanesrauno1) from Indonesia dominated the qualification without losing a game. The second participant at the Global Qualifier will be NFTjaviero

From the Asia North region, Japanese EAFC pro player Jay made it through together with fellow Japanese player Taichi Aoki (Nasri), who is also a seasoned pro and also reached the Global Qualifier last year. Will he be able to go one step further?

Notable Upsets in Latam, America, Oceania, Asia, Africa and Europe

This season’s Global Qualifier had many surprising moments. Some top players, who many thought would easily get through the group stage, were taken out early.

Here are some of the biggest upsets:

  • Matias Bonanno who won the ePremier League last year and also participated in the FC Pro 24 finals could not make it through.
  • Gabriel Antonini, another FC Pro 24 finalist, also was not able to reach the next round. He lost in the double elimination bracket round.
  • Nathan Ribeiro (Nathansr22), who was a Top 16 player at last year’s FC Pro 24 World Championship was out after the Swiss stage.
  • Ignacio Abella (NachoAbella), another participant of the FC Pro 24 World Championship, was also eliminated early.

Predictions for the FC Pro Global Qualifier finals

As the FC Pro Global Qualifier is around the corner, excitement is at an all-time high. It’s hard to guess who will win in this strong competition, but some names are leading as possible champions. Mark11, Nicolas99fc, levyfinn, Jonny and Montaxer are probably the biggest names from the regionals. They will be joined by well-known players who qualified from last year such as Tekkz, Umut, Young, and AbuMakkah. The bracket draw will be exciting to see.
